Sarah Hodson - Freelance Event and Production ManagerI am a Freelance Event and Production Manager based in Dorset and have been working in events for the last 5 years all over the UK. My most recent full time role was working with a corporate events company in Wiltshire as one of their Event Managers working on a range of events. I have managed many projects such as roadshows, conferences and awards dinners for a variety of clients. These events have varied in size from 50 to 1000 attendees. The venues I have worked in include the well known Park Lane venues such as Grosvenor House, Hilton Park Lane and the Sheraton as well as many other venues large and small all over the United Kingdom. Other event projects have included several public events which comprised open days, charity dinners and a local festival. The projects I have worked on involved managing them from concept to completion. These involved quoting, liaising with the client, venue and suppliers, coming up with ideas for the set and content designs, budget management, working closely with the technical team and event managing onsite. The clients I worked with were from a mixture of different industries such as banking, retail, IT, an alcoholic beverage company, transport, radio and many more. Since becoming freelance have worked for various event agencies and production companies such as I have been a variety of roles throughout the work with these companies such as Onsite Event Manager, Stage Manager, Production Manager and Assistant Producer.
